Wrexham’s Victory Boosts Economic Prospects with 3-0 Win Over Millwall

Wrexham celebrated their first Championship win of the season by decisively defeating Millwall 3-0, a result that strengthens their aspirations of advancing to the Premier League. Their campaign commenced with draws against Cardiff and Watford, followed by a loss at home to Birmingham, but they showcased a strong recovery in south London.

The match’s first goal came courtesy of an own goal by Zak Sturge, who inadvertently deflected Issa Kaboré’s cross into Millwall’s net during the first half. Shortly after halftime, Kieffer Moore extended Wrexham’s lead with a striking shot from around 20 yards out. Jacques Ekomié then sealed the win with a precise finish from close range, rounding off an impressive performance for the team.

Millwall, on the other hand, faced another disappointing result, having now allowed eight goals in their last two games after initially starting the season with back-to-back clean sheets. Their woes were exacerbated by injuries to key players, with striker Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre both sidelined.

In other Championship matches, QPR continued their strong form with a 2-1 victory over Cardiff at Loftus Road. Rumarn Burrell was the hero for QPR, scoring both goals, while Perry Ng managed to score for Cardiff. This win brought QPR’s tally to 10 points from their first four games, indicating a promising start to their season.

Meanwhile, Burnley were held to a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at Turf Moor. Middlesbrough took the lead with a first-half goal from Aidan Morris, but Burnley responded after the break with Ugo Raghouber’s equalizer. Charlton also maintained their unbeaten status by drawing 1-1 with West Brom. Callum Styles put West Brom ahead, but Tyreece Campbell ensured Charlton earned a share of the points with a second-half equalizer.
