Joining the squad are new faces like Northampton forward Alex Coles and Sale prop Asher Opoku-Fordjour, alongside Seb Atkinson, Guy Pepper, and Jack van Poortvliet, all receiving contracts after missing out in previous selections. Daly’s exclusion is unexpected, considering his adaptability on the field and Borthwick’s earlier commendations. Despite this, Daly retains eligibility for the broader World Cup roster, which will eventually expand to include 33 players.
