The areas affected by the outage include Muizenberg, St James, Clovelly, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, Simon’s Town, Sun Valley, Noordhoek, Kommetjie, Ocean View, Masiphumelele, Steenberg, and Westlake. These regions are located in the southern parts of Cape Town and will be without electricity during the maintenance period.
Residents have been advised to switch off all electrical appliances before the outage begins to protect them from potential power surges when electricity is restored. The City of Cape Town also cautions residents to treat all electrical installations as live throughout the maintenance period, even if the power is off.
