In the coming weeks, Mashatile is set to engage in various official activities. His responsibilities will include chairing Cabinet committees and participating in proceedings related to the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement. Additionally, he will engage with interfaith communities and answer oral questions in the National Council of Provinces, alongside resuming his political duties.
While Mashatile’s office confirmed his return to work, they did not provide further details regarding the illness or treatment he underwent. Nonetheless, his office’s statement underscored the appreciation for the public’s concern and support during his time away from official duties.
